how does sparkcharge help cities unlock federal funds?
SparkCharge allows eligible entities to access unprecedented federal funding for EV infrastructure and has products and services that expand access to EVSE to any neighborhood at a fraction of the cost and time of installing traditional charging infrastructure.
Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program (CFI)
CFI is a new competitive grant program that was created to deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle (EV) charging and alternative fueling infrastructure in the places people live and work as well as designated alternative fuel corridors. This includes states, municipalities, tribal governments, US territories, and regional MPOs for projects expected to reduce green house gas emissions and expand or fill gaps in access to publicly accessible EV charging infrastructure.
Priority is given to projects that:
- Expand access to EV charging in rural areas, low/moderate income neighborhoods
- Communities with a low ratio of private parking spaces or a high ratio of multi-unit dwelling single family homes
- Contributes to geographic diversity among eligible entities, including a balance between urban and rural communities, and meets a current anticipated market demand for charging fueling infrastructure
