How does BoostEV work?

BoostEV is the on-demand, ultrafast, EV charging delivery service. By using the app you can select how much charge your EV will receive, what company will deliver it, where and when.

Is mobile charging safe for my car?

Yes. BoostEV exclusively uses the ROADIE EV Charging System, which is designed and tested exclusively for mobile charging. Each driver is carefully trained on how to deliver charge safely.

Are you using gas or other fossil fuels to recharge my EV?

Absolutely not. We care greatly about the environment and thank you for driving an EV. BoostEV Delivery Agents exclusively us the ROADIE Charging System which is battery powered. Using fossil fuels to charge your EV would defeat the purpose of having an EV.

Will the delivery agent need access to the inside of my vehicle?

In most cases no. If you have an EV without the capability to open the charge port remotely then you will need to leave the port open or open the port when the driver arrives. If you see a Delivery Agent inside your vehicle please contact us immediately at help@BoostEV.com

Do I need to provide an electric source for the delivery?

No. When we say any location can be a charging station we mean it, regardless of power grid access. BoostEV Delivery Agents use the ROADIE EV Charging System which has a completely independent power supply.

Do I have to be at my car to get a charge?

We have designed BoostEV to give EV owners more freedom and more time to enjoy it. Most vehicles allow access to their charging ports without the owner being present. If you drive a Tesla model electric vehicle you may need to make it accessible via the Tesla mobile app. If the BoostEV Delivery Agent is unable to access the charge port to your vehicle, they will contact you via text or phone call.

How long does it take to charge my EV?

Typically the BoostEV charging system recharges your vehicle at about 1 mile every 60 seconds.  This time can vary depending on several factors.

  • Extreme cold or Heat

  • The size of the charge

  • The state/condition of the battery

What is the cost of a charge?

The price of charge as well as the quantity of charge is determined by the Charge Provider Partners.

Can you deliver roadside if I run out of charge?

Yes, many of our Charge Provider Partners are also Roadside Assistance providers who can get you charged, off the side of the road and out of danger quickly and safely.

Can you charge a street parked car?

Absolutely! Our specialized portable charging system allows us to access and safely charge EVs pretty much anywhere.

Can you deliver charge to my car when I’m at work or shopping?

Yes, you name the time and the location, and our charge agents will be there with the power you need.

What information is shared with the charge delivery company/person?

The Charging Provider Partner and their drivers will only be given the necessary information to find and deliver a charge to your vehicle. This information includes vehicle license plate, make, model, color, and year.  They can contact you via phone/text, however they will not be able to see your phone number.

Do you accept cash?

No. For your safety and the delivery agent’s safety all transactions are conducted online or via the app.

Are charge delivery people employees of BoostEV?

All charge delivery agents are employees of the Charge Delivery Partner company (the company you ordered your charge from), not BoostEV.
